Greenfinch Accountancy Limited is managed by Kevin Mort, a Chartered Public Finance Accountant with more than 20 years post-qualification experience in the public and private sectors and Aaron Maxwell, a Chartered Certified Accountant and taxation specialist. After working for many years in local and central government on the Isle of Man, Kevin worked in the shipping and insurance industries, including spending some years as a director of a number of companies including those involved in insurance, property, retail and investments. He also holds the Diploma in Insurance and is well placed to help businesses in considering their insurance needs.

Aaron is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an AITI Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with in excess of twenty five years’ experience.   Aaron previously worked for Grant Thornton in Ireland, where he qualified as a tax advisor, and latterly PKF in the Isle of Man (as a Senior Tax Manager and where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant under the UK system).  Aaron has gained extensive experience in tax compliance, tax planning as well as specialist private client work not only in the UK but internationally as well. 

 

 

Aaron specialises in the provision of offshore fiduciary services and offshore planning advice.  He also deals with corporate and private client taxation matters, dealing with UK tax compliance and UK tax planning matters including negotiating settlements with HM Revenue & Customs.   Aaron also specialises in dealing with UK transfer pricing obligations of offshore entities with UK property investments.  Aaron also advises on tax and trust/estate planning matters involving jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man, UK, Ireland and a number of European countries.  


Aaron has advised diverse businesses such as Isle of Man corporate service providers on offshore structuring for their clients, a major chain of health centres in the UK on its UK/Irish corporation tax obligations as well as capital allowance claims on construction costs, and a number of UK/Irish based property developers.   Aaron has also assisted private clients to set up business activities in Ireland, to take advantage of the 12.5% corporation tax regime, as well as in the Isle of Man, to take advantage if its 0% corporate tax regime.

This broad range of exposure to both corporate and private client matters means that Aaron is able to assist in most areas requiring input from an accountant and tax advisor.
